Description
The motif is a traditional pattern from Scandinavian Latvia. The finished product looks cute like a flower pattern. We used 100% Shetland sheep wool yarn imported from Shetland. It’s not as soft as merino wool, but it’s not scratchy either. It has a light finish because it contains just the right amount of air. The more you use it, the more the threads will become familiar, giving it a felt-like feel. When we send it to you, we wash it with water to give it a softer, felt-like texture. Also, since it is woven, the wool is double layered on the back, making it warm. Width (back of hand): Approximately 10cm Length: approx. 24cm (Inner wrist rubber part: approx. 6cm) 100% Shetland sheep wool What is Shetland sheep wool? It grows in a harsh natural environment in mountainous areas with many Stone and rocks and poor soil where even delicious grass cannot grow. When grown in this environment, the length of the fibers will be long, and there will be a lot of thick hair, medium-thin short hair, thick and short stiff hair, and colored hair. In other words… strong hair is born. And it refers to the frizziness of the hair called “crimp” that is unique to wool. This crimp also varies depending on the type of sheep. British wool is characterized by dense and abundant “crimps” in addition to ordinary sheep wool. The more crimps there are, the more spongy, elastic, and bulky the yarn will be. British wool has a high bulkiness, which means it can trap air well, making it a very warm and light yarn with a high heat retention effect. Best of all, strong bristles are durable.
