Description

A large domestic wool cotton stole is tie-dyed with small carp grass (Kobunagusa, Hachijo Kariyasu) and logwood. The mosquito net is woven using cotton only for the warp threads, so it feels fluffy and very soft to the touch. There is no tingling sensation either. It has a smooth texture that is safe even for people who don’t like wool. A soft, thin, large-sized stole made in Japan that is hand-dyed with 100% natural dyes. The size is approximately 120cm x 190cm in width and length. (Including fringe on both ends, approx. 3cm) 147g. Although it is large in size, it is made of thin wool, so you can wrap it up when it’s cold or use it as a lap blanket. You can use it conveniently. The light gray part with a faint bluish tinge was dyed with logwood core material. The yellow part was tie-dyed with kobunagusa, a traditional dye that is also used in the kimono “Kihachijo.” Vegetable dyeing is finished by washing it many times before and after dyeing. Therefore, it has a very soft texture. Although it is made of wool, it has excellent absorbency, making it a stole that can be enjoyed for many seasons. This wool stole has pastel colors and a very gentle atmosphere. Please take this opportunity to enjoy the natural and gentle colors, a gift from nature. Each purchaser will also receive a simple “instruction manual” (available in Japanese and English) for washing, etc. You can do a light hand wash at home. Plant-dyed fabrics are not sensitive to bleach, so please use a small amount of a neutral detergent that does not contain bleach and gently press the wash. Remove moisture with a towel, adjust the shape and dry in the shade. Even in the case of “regular shipping”, the item is packaged and delivered. Gift wrapping is available free of charge. Please contact us using transaction navigation. We will finish it with a steam iron before shipping. Once shipping is complete, we will notify you of the “inquiry number.” Dyeed with 100% vegetable dyes. Plant dyes contain a number of plant polyphenols that interact with each other, so the color is not uniform like chemical dyes. Colors may appear slightly different depending on the light source, such as sunlight or fluorescent lighting. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us by message. *Also sold at other locations. In the unlikely event that you make multiple purchases, we will contact you and then give priority to the person who purchased the items earlier. Thank you for your understanding. ____________________ Width: approx. 120cm Length: Approx. 190cm (including fringe on both ends, approx. 3cm) Weight: 147g Material: Wool (warp yarn only cotton) Dye: Logwood core, Kobuna grass ____________________ Production area/Production method Japan / Handmade Vegetable dyeing may cause some color fading. For the first time or two, if it’s not very dirty, such as when you sweat, just rinse it off with just water. The color will gradually fade. At home, we recommend gentle hand washing. Avoid washing machines, dryers, bleach, and detergents containing bleach. Use a small amount of “neutral detergent” (such as fashionable detergent) and gently press the wash. Rinse gently twice, remove moisture with a towel, and dry in the shade. (2-3 minutes for the entire process). Iron at medium temperature and cover with a cloth. The color of plant-dyed dyes will gradually change due to prolonged exposure to sunlight, citrus juice, sweat, and aging. If you leave it folded in a bright place for a long time, the folded part may get sunburned. When not in use, please store it in a place where it is not exposed to light, such as a box or chest of drawers. When storing wool and silk products for a long period of time, it is safe to store them with a desiccant and unscented insect repellent. (Points to note when purchasing) *Everything is made by hand. Please understand that each piece is a one-of-a-kind item with slightly different colors and shapes. *Please carefully check the size and material of the work before purchasing. *Colors may look different on the screen and in real life. *100% natural dyes, each piece is hand-dyed. Please note that there may be slight color unevenness. *If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at any time.
